Privacy policy
Last updated: 2 July 2026
This policy explains what personal data is processed when you visit kukan.uk or contact us, why, for how long, and what rights you have. Where the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies to you, the terms below are used in the meaning given by the GDPR.

What this site does not do
- No cookies are set — which is why you see no cookie banner.
- No analytics, advertising, tracking pixels or fingerprinting of any kind.
- No third-party content is embedded: fonts, images and scripts are served from kukan.uk itself, so your visit is not disclosed to font, CDN or social-media providers.
Server logs
When you access this site, the web server automatically records technical access data: IP address, date and time, requested URL, HTTP status, transferred bytes, referrer and browser identification. We process this data to deliver the site, to maintain its security (e.g. abuse and intrusion detection) and to diagnose faults — on the legal basis of legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Log entries are kept for a short, limited period consistent with these purposes and are then deleted or anonymized. Log data is not merged with other data or used to profile visitors.
Contact form and email
If you use the contact form or email us, we process the data you provide — name, email address, company, subject and the content of your message, including any documents you send — solely to handle your enquiry and any resulting engagement. The legal basis is your consent given when submitting the form (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) and, where the enquiry relates to a contract, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures).
Form submissions are transmitted encrypted (TLS), processed by our own server and forwarded to our mailbox. Enquiry correspondence is retained as long as needed to handle the matter and to satisfy statutory retention obligations, and is then deleted. Technical documents you share (analyses, proposals, operating data) are treated as confidential and used only to assess and work on your case.
Recipients
We do not sell or share personal data for marketing. Data is disclosed only to service providers necessary for operating our communications (e.g. our email hosting provider, bound by data-processing agreements) or where we are legally required to disclose it.
International transfers
We operate internationally; where personal data is transferred outside your jurisdiction, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or your explicit consent, as applicable.
Your rights
Where the GDPR or comparable law applies, you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time with effect for the future. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise your rights, contact [email protected].
Security
This site is served exclusively over TLS (HTTPS) with modern security headers; the contact endpoint applies rate limiting and input validation. No system is perfectly secure, but the site is deliberately built without databases, user accounts or third-party scripts to minimize the data it could expose.
Changes
We will update this policy when the site's functionality or legal requirements change; the current version is always available at kukan.uk/privacy.html.
